Deploying collaborative management to support the ecological transition

GovernmentParis

The client's request

The Ministry of Ecological Transition and Territorial Cohesion expressed its need for support in a managerial transformation to back its ecological transition and territorial cohesion objectives.

Expectations included adopting more modern collaboration practices and making use of digital innovation.

More specifically, the Ministry wanted to raise its executives' awareness of the principles of collaborative and participative management, improve project management with agile methods, and encourage collective decision-making.

At the same time, it aimed to set up a digital platform to facilitate collaboration between its employees and improve the efficiency of cross-functional projects, while developing the leadership and autonomy of teams.

Our response

NextGen responded by deploying a tailor-made programme, structured around two main axes. On the one hand, workshops and training sessions were organised to develop skills in participative leadership, agile project management and collaborative communication.

Personalised coaching was also set up for executives to foster innovation and autonomy within teams.

On the other hand, a digital collaboration platform was developed and integrated to improve real-time information sharing and the management of cross-functional projects. User training was provided to ensure smooth adoption of this tool.

As a result, these initiatives improved the Ministry's overall performance, sped up decision-making processes and strengthened team engagement and cohesion.

Result

The Ministry was able to develop participative and collaborative management while strengthening the cohesion of its teams. The workshops and the digital platform deployed made it possible to optimise cross-functional projects and to ensure smooth adoption of the new practices. This transformation consolidated the ecological and territorial momentum.
